Holding Hope in Grief is an act of care and love to our community. These sessions are intended to provide a space to explore grounding practices to regulate your nervous system, as well as a space to build community and discuss concrete ways to foster resilience. While therapeutic, this is not a traditional therapy group and is not a replacement for therapy. Whether you consider yourself a seasoned activist or have felt unsure how to take action as of yet, we invite anyone who wants to work towards building a more just world together.
The first of 4 sessions in our series on grief and hope, this session will provide education on the nervous system and introduce concepts of somatics. We draw inspiration for this session from the books Let This Radicalize You by Kelly Hayes and Mariame Kaba and The Myth of Normal by Gabor Maté. We will offer CBD during this session from AUM Remedies in combination with a guided Yoga Nidra exercise (promotes deep relaxation and no movement is involved).

“ I will show you what it feels like to be grounded, energized, and present so that you can feel good from the inside out. You will feel more confident and centered from being in a more relaxed place of awareness. You will be more empowered to live a life that you want, with joy and grace. I’ve witnessed such tremendous healing, growth and transformation in others whom I have had the pleasure to work with over the last 10 years.
I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, meeting each person where they are at. I’ve empowered those who have chronic pain, high stress, anxiety, arthritis, Parkinson’s, PTSD, brain injuries, neuropathy, limited range of motion, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, a-fib, PCOS, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, cancer, and scoliosis to name a few.
The mindfulness of my practice has given me the perseverance to pursue all things soulful. Cultivating Qi is an ever expanding experience that leaves me humbled and grateful. It is true what they say, the external world mirrors the internal one.”
