MASSAGE SERVICES

  • This firm yet gentle technique promotes circulation, eases stress and tension, and, most importantly, encourages relaxation. Clients undress to the level of their comfort are draped accordingly. These treatments also incorporate a wide range of techniques including Acupressure, Reflexology, and Tui Na in order to best meet client needs.   • Ideal for those experiencing muscle pain and discomfort who want to address these issues while also having a relaxing session in a similar style to Swedish massage. Deep Tissue focuses on applying firm pressure to the muscle tissue to help alleviate areas of stiffness and tension. Additional manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy may also be used and each session is fully customized to the client’s individual needs. Deep Tissue helps improve circulation and provide muscle pain relief. Offered by Lindsey Nelmar

  • Lymphatic Drainage supports lymphatic circulation by manual engagement of lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels. This is especially beneficial after periods of stagnation like illness, travel, post-surgical/injury recovery, or general bloating/swelling. Performed without oil, the practitioner uses a body brush, guasha tools, and manual techniques on the skin. Offered by Lindsey Nelmar

  • Fascia is the connective tissue that holds our muscles and organs in place. This tissue can become restricted from stress or injury, which can lead to muscle stiffness and decreased mobility in the joints. Myofascial Release focuses on targeting the fascia through sustained pressure and slow movement with little to no lubricant to encourage the tissue to release on its own. Due to the slow nature of myofascial release, each session focuses on only one to two areas of the body. Myofascial Release helps reduce stiffness and increase range of motion.   • Prenatal massage can help soothe some of the most common discomforts experienced by pregnant people. During the treatment, pillows and bolstering are used to help minimize pressure points and help clients feel supported and cozy. Offered by Lindsey Nelmar and Natalie McGreal

  • Bringing awareness to the belly through abdominal massage can help us reconnect with our center, relieve deep seated tension, and restore vitality. Using a trauma-sensitive blend of Thai, Swedish and Craniosacral techniques, Restorative Abdominal Massage can assist in improving elimination and stimulate lymphatic, circulatory and digestive flow. It also helps calm the nervous system and balance unprocessed emotions stored in the abdomen. 

    Contraindications: diarrhea, cancer, lymphoma, thrombosis, aneurysm, pregnancy, abdominal hernia, menstruation. 

    Refrain from eating 1-2 hours before the appointment. The session would be very uncomfortable on a full stomach.Offered by Natalie McGreal

BODYWORK SERVICES

  • Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle, noninvasive form of bodywork that promotes comfort and restoration by easing areas of tension and supporting the function of the central nervous system. These relaxing sessions offer clients a chance to unwind mentally and physically through a series of holds, light compression, gentle traction, and passive supported movement. 

    Most craniosacral sessions will incorporate additional techniques such as tui na, acupressure, and reflexology. This work is performed over clothing, so please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes. Offered by Khadijah Kysia, Nathan Paulus, and Natalie McGreal

  • This bodywork is most effective for injuries and orthopedic issues by using stretching, myofascial release, pressure points,and  muscle activation / deactivation to balance the body. Home exercises may be given to help with therapeutic recovery. Offered by Nathan Paulus

  • This service must be booked by the person who is receiving the treatment.

    Ideal for anyone returning to bodywork after a traumatic event or folks new to receiving safe, therapeutic touch. Trauma informed bodywork is gentle, client-centered and collaborative. Treatments are done over clothing and techniques are employed slowly and with great compassion. A slower pace allows the client and their nervous system space to process the work and create space for communication between client and therapist. Offered by Natalie McGreal

  • Somatic Bodywork combines trauma-informed principles, embodiment practices and soothing techniques to help you feel empowered and at ease in your body. Ideal for anyone hoping to manage anxiety and stress, it is also a wonderful accompaniment to psychotherapy based trauma healing. Techniques explored in Somatic Bodywork can include, Craniosacral, assisted stretching, Swedish massage, Thai bodywork, mindfulness practices and Somatic Experiencing. Offered by Natalie McGreal

  • This treatment uses a blend of myofascial release with moving and balancing energy of the acupuncture meridian channels. There is a sense of ‘unwinding’ as complex sensory and motor patterns that build up in the nervous system dissolve and change. If desired, we work with conscious deactivation of these patterns.
